I use dual monitors and have no problem adding floating menus
e.g. timeline in PTE onto the other screen.

Clicking the T symbol will turn text on and off below the working images

However if you need to see the slide names as you are working
on your actual sequence,
or if for example you wish your customers to order
certain images in a slide show,
you also have the ability to add text directly on to each image
using Project Options, comments. (see image below)
Should you decide to use this option only while you are working on the AV,
simply turn off this comments option before you finish and save as the final .exe file.
