Lectures by Maureen :Audio Visual Sequences...
Many folks are a little bemused by the term Audio Visual Photography and tend to refer to AV as slideshows or "Films".
True AV should not be confused with slides set to music. The Royal Photographic Society recently recognised
that many photographers are now eager to set their best images to background music
and have therefore created a new distinctions category for these authors called Photo Harmony.
I have tended to concentrate on Audio Visual Photography or AV.
Sometimes printing out my best images for other competitions or Salons.
I first started to create an AV sequence in 1995 and gained my first distinction using slide and tape technology in 1997
when I gained my LRPS. I was then using the traditional Royale two projector system with Imatronic dissolve unit.
With the advent of Digital Photography I joined the RPS Digital Group when it formed in 1996 and was immediately attracted
to the possibilities it opened up for AV work. I was eager to learn the new software to rpoduce digital AV sequences
and began using a variety of programs in 1998. My prefered softwareprogram is Pictures to Exe
and I have finally settled to using it now to create almost all my digital AV sequences.
