2007 was a very busy and interesting year for us.
We spent a very enjoyable five weeks in Australia, judging the Adelaide AV Festival and giving a few lectures. No sooner were we home, than we were packed and flying off again, to do a wedding shoot in Gibraltar.
Organising two RPS Digital Groups, many web sites, entering competitions, giving lectures and shows, filled most of the rest of my time, so the web site has been a little neglected and the "Notes" I promised have not yet appeared.
Apologies to those still waiting, but currently my time has been taken planning a very large event in 2008.
This will be a brand new International AV Competition especially aimed at young people to hopefully encourage them to participate in the field of digital Audio Visual Photography. Please take a look at the new web site at www.iris-25.rps.org and do pass on the information and encourage your family, friends, local schools and colleges to participate.

My interest in

Family History
Genealogy is another strong interest dating back to my teens. I hope to include many branches of my family trees which I have researched back to the early fifteenth Century in a few ancestral lines.

I have a vast amount of information which will gradually be added to this site. The Albright / Albrecht line goes back to 1496 in Rottenberg-ob Der Tauber, Germany and includes links with the Swedish Spolander name.
